DeltaE2000 quantitates the difference between two colours - allowing a Comparison color to be compared against a Standard color. Several measurements of Delta E have been defined by the International Commission on Illumination - the current standard is: LAB DeltaE CIEDE2000 - this is the default measurement produced by this app. The definition has some minor ambiguities.
