CFSA continues to be the primary advocate for licensed and regulated nonbank lenders, providing a reasoned and rational voice on short-term credit issues. Today the industry faces unique and serious challenges – challenges that will impact the way you do business in the years to come. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is now writing rules that will govern our industry and change the way your business operates. As these rules are written, CFSA will continue its work to educate and inform regulators with the goal of achieving the best regulatory framework possible for our members’ businesses and the best products and services for consumers. To that end, a key component to our success in this effort will be you. We need industry players to both participate and advocate in our ongoing campaign to prevent overly aggressive restrictions that could eliminate credit options for consumers.
